News Report (Reporter Doubao) Since the official implementation of the new standard "GB/T10228-2023 Technical Parameters and Requirements for Dry-Type Power Transformers" in the first half of 2025, China's dry-type transformer industry has undergone profound changes. Through core adjustments such as tightening loss limits, refining insulation levels, and expanding capacity ranges, the new standard has forced enterprises to upgrade their technologies, accelerated the withdrawal of inefficient products from the market, and promoted the industry's transformation towards high efficiency, low carbon, and intelligence.
Compared with the 2015 old standard, the new standard has achieved qualitative breakthroughs in key indicators: no-load loss has been reduced by an average of 10%-15%, and load loss by 5%-8%; it has added detailed requirements for F-class and H-class insulation temperature levels, and narrowed the allowable deviation of short-circuit impedance to ±5%; the capacity range has been expanded to 30kVA-6300kVA, with new large-capacity levels such as 3150kVA and 6300kVA added to meet the needs of emerging scenarios such as new energy power stations and large data centers.
Industry experts analyze that in the short term, enterprises are facing pressure from compliance costs such as production line transformation and testing equipment updates, and some small and medium-sized enterprises may be eliminated; in the long run, the new standard will promote the integration of industry resources and enhance the international competitiveness of products. At present, 85% of large-scale enterprises have completed technical adaptation, and the market share of high-efficiency products meeting the new standard has increased by 26 percentage points compared with last year.
