News Report (Reporter Doubao) The latest data from the General Administration of Customs shows that since 2025, China's dry-type transformer exports have maintained a high growth trend. In the first 11 months, the export volume reached 148,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 23%, and the export value exceeded 4.8 billion US dollars, an increase of 19.5% compared with the same period last year. Among them, the Southeast Asian market performed particularly prominently, with its export share rising from 24.6% in 2020 to 31.8%, becoming the core engine of the industry's export growth.
From the perspective of market structure, the annual growth rates of the Vietnamese and Indonesian markets in Southeast Asia have reached 23.5% and 19.8% respectively, mainly benefiting from the acceleration of local power grid upgrades and new energy infrastructure construction; the export value to the Middle East and African markets has increased by 41% year-on-year, and countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have a strong demand for high-voltage dry-type transformers of 35kV and above, with the average single-unit power requirement increasing by 37.5% compared with 2020; although the share of the European market has decreased, the unit price of high-value-added products has increased by 21.3% year-on-year, and low-loss and intelligent products developed by Chinese enterprises have successfully entered the supply chain systems of Siemens and Schneider.
Industry analysis points out that Chinese enterprises have significant advantages in cost control, technological innovation, and supply chain response speed. The coverage rate of fully automated production lines reaches 64%, and the lead time from order receipt to delivery is 22 days shorter than that of international peers. With the continuous exertion of the RCEP framework, it is expected that the annual export value of dry-type transformers in 2025 will exceed 5.5 billion US dollars, and the proportion of overseas markets contributing to the total industry revenue will rise to 20%.
